Messy Church and Messy Church Sports Club
Sunday 18th March – Lord of the Dance
Timing for session is:
3:30pm: Craft activities in St Peter’s Church Hall
3:30pm: Football and/or Rounders on Glebe Meadow for those who want to play (weather permitting)
4:30pm: Short worship in Church
Do come along for all or some of the above. If you are able to join us, it would be helpful if you could let Caroline know how many are coming so we can make sure we have enough food. She can be contacted at email@example.com on 01883 712512. But do feel free to just turn up on the day if that’s easier. We ask for a donation of £3 per person from those who are able.
Since beginning in September 2012, Messy Church has grown and grown, becoming a popular Sunday afternoon activity for many families. As well as families from St Peter’s, we have seen many children from Limpsfield Infant School and St Mary’s Tatsfield joining us. Children have made decorations for the church at Christmas and Easter and enjoyed lots of other crafts, cooking and activities throughout the year. We’ve enjoyed learning new songs and sharing Bible stories and prayer times in Church. All of this is followed each month with a hot supper for children and tea and cake for the grown ups! In addition to this we also run a Messy Church Sports Club with games on the Glebe Meadow for those children who prefer running to crafts (our Rector James is often found in goal!).
- Everyone is welcome!
- Children should be accompanied by an adult.
- A contribution of £3 per person would be appreciated from those who are able.
