The tower at St Peters has a ring of 6 bells and an enthusiastic band of mixed ability ringers.
We meet most Tuesday evenings to practice, ( 20.15 to 21.30 ) and ring for 30 minutes every Sunday before the10am Eucharist service. We also ring for weddings and special occasions, and even attempt the occasional Quarter Peal ( a continuous ring lasting about 45 minutes ). If you would like to mark a special event or occasion with a ring of bells do please contact us to see if we are able to help. The photo below was taken following the Quarter Peel for the Royal Wedding April 2011.
Visiting ringers are always welcome to join us although it is advisable to check that we have not abandoned practice night for any reason!
If you think you may be interested to learn how to ring, or if you would like to come along and see the bells and/or us in action, do please telephone to arrange a visit.
